Unlocking Nature’s Diversity……..
The John Innes Centre (JIC), located in Norwich, Norfolk, England, is an independent centre for research and training in plant and microbial science.
Their mission is to generate knowledge of plants and microbes through innovative research, to apply their knowledge of nature’s diversity to benefit agriculture, the environment, human health and well-being, to train scientists for the future and to engage with policy makers and the public.
The Centre recently won the Biotechnology and Biological Sciences Research Council's (BBSRC) Excellence with Impact award at the Fostering Innovation Gala.
For their scientists, this is the culmination of a three year journey to strengthen the Impact culture within the John Innes Centre.
We are honoured to have been selected to publish their ‘Advances’ magazine.
Each edition of the magazine will shine a spotlight on the wide array of world-leading research at the institute and their links with industrial partners.
The research they do makes use of a wide range of disciplines in biological and chemical sciences, including microbiology, cell biology, biochemistry, chemistry, genetics, molecular biology, computational and mathematical biology.
